WWE Monday Night RAW Results (July 6, 2026): CM Punk returns!! Cody Rhodes injured!! Multiple titles change hands!!
WWE continued down the road to the Biggest Party of the Summer. Tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW was a special one, as three prizes were on the line. The Street Profits put the Men’s World Tag Team Championship on the line against the Vision. Sol Ruca was also in action, putting her Women’s WWE Intercontinental Title against Raquel Rodriguez.
The Men’s WWE Championship was also defended, as Sami Zayn was forced to put it up for grabs against Cody Rhodes just a week after winning it. Adam Pearce seemed hellbent on this match happening on RAW, making a huge decision for SmackDown’s top champion while Nick Aldis was suspended. What was the RAW GM planning?
Thanks for the submission!
Here are the full results for tonight’s Monday Night RAW: (MAJOR SPOILERS! Skip to the next tweet to avoid)
- The Vision defeated The Street Profits via pinfall with a low blow from Maxxine Dupri to win the Men’s WWE World Tag Team Championship.
- Sol Ruca defeated Raquel Rodriguez via pinfall with the Sol Snatcher to retain the Women’s WWE Intercontinental Championship.
- Rusev & Ethan Page defeated Dragon Lee & Chad Gable via submission with the Accolade.
- CM Punk defeated Sami Zayn via pinfall with the GTS to win the Undisputed Men’s WWE Championship.
Sami Zayn pulled up with the title above his head. When he emerged from his convertible, he was face-to-face with Cody Rhodes. Zayn claimed that Rhodes was trying to jump back to the front of the line after he’d rightfully won the gold at Night of Champions. Rhodes said he was right and looked forward to taking the gold tonight.
That was until Gunther attacked. The Ring General drove Rhodes into a table with a powerbomb, then booted Sami’s open car door into Rhodes’ head. Gunther warned Sami that he was coming for him while officials checked on Cody, who was bleeding from the ear.
Seth Rollins was out first. He got what he wanted last week, convincing Men’s WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to accept a title bout at SummerSlam Night 2, on August 2. The Visionary, Revolutionary, etc, got a huge reaction from the crowd…before they broke into CM Punk chants. Rollins said he got it, considering they were in Chicago. But tonight wasn’t about Punk, as Rollins was focused on Reigns. “I couldn’t care less about that guy. Look, he’s just not my business right now.”
Speaking of Roman, the OTC of WWE wasn’t here tonight. Didn’t stop him from insulting the man while he was away, claiming that he was always going to be the top guy even though he couldn’t wrestle himself out of a wet paper bag. Rollins points out several kids in the front row, aged 5-10, saying he’d been in their shoes before. He wanted, all his life, to hold a mic in his hand, walk down the ramp, and main event WrestleManias.
He wanted to be the biggest star the industry had seen. His dreams were handed off to Reigns, and it broke him. “When I broke up the SHIELD, it was to try and catch up to Roman Reigns. When I cashed the MITB briefcase in at WrestleMania, that was to try and keep up with Roman Reigns.” Rollins knew it was petty and selfish, but he thought the two were running the same race. He was wrong.
Roman once told him that he worked ten times less than Seth and made ten times more. “That bulls*** made me wanna puke!” Rollins didn’t care about the money; he cared about the grind and the hustle. At SummerSlam, Reigns had to beat him because he needed to prove to himself that he wasn’t a fraud. Rollins was his albatross. His white whale.
But Rollins needed to beat Reigns just as badly, because he had to prove to his 5-year-old self sitting in the stands that hard work, sacrifice, and dreams can lead you to greatness. The crowd was so quiet you could hear a pin drop… until LA Knight‘s music hit.
The Megastar accused Rollins and Reigns of repeating the same old garbage. They spent a whole segment praising one another before setting the title match up. LA Knight said he remembered championship matches being earned through matches or tournaments. Knight was eliminated from the KOTR in the opening round, the same as Rollins, but he didn’t go to Roman to beg for a title match.
Knight said that Rollins and Roman weren’t at the top when WWE peaked a few years ago, instead naming Cody Rhodes. That’s… debatable. Knight also said he bullrushed the company and was almost at the top when the Bloodline and the Vision spent years keeping Knight at the bottom where they thought he belonged.
Here, in 2026, the Bloodline was doing the same thing. But nobody could keep him down. Not Roman, and certainly not Seth Rollins. Rollins didn’t like Knight, but he did respect him, as Knight was the shining example of the kind of hard-working star that he was describing.
At SummerSlam, Rollins was getting the gold he never lost back. But after that? Knight would be the first in line for a shot at the gold. Rollins left on that note, while Knight was laid out by Jimmy Uso.
WWE RAW GM Adam Pearce was in Gunther’s face as he already ruined the main event. Nick Aldis, still suspended, showed up, nearly getting in a brawl with Gunther. Pearce warned him that he could get an extended “vacation” if he kept this up, while Aldis told him that Cody’s health and blood were on his hands tonight.
Ahead of the first match of the night, Paul Heyman got in the faces of The Vision, reminding them that they couldn’t eliminate Seth Rollins… or even Joe Hendry. If they didn’t come back to Heyman with the WWE gold in hand tonight, they didn’t need to come back at all.
Men’s WWE World Tag Team Championship: The Vision (Austin Theory & Bron Breakker) vs The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c)
Bron Breakker immediately took Montez Ford to The Vision’s corner. Austin Theory tagged in for a standing moonsault for a one-count. Ford recovered and tagged in Angelo Dawkins, who planted his tag partner on top of Theory with a release back suplex. The Vision took over as we cut to break, with a furious Bron Breakker bowling over Dawkins.
We returned to the action with a fresh Montez Ford hitting Breakker with a big dive off the top. An enziguri in the corner was followed by a high-angle diving crossbody for a two-count on the former WWE Intercontinental Champion. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough, and Breakker halted Ford’s momentum with a pop-up powerslam. Theory tagged in and immediately lost control thanks to a big right from Tez.
The Profits hit their Doomsday Blockbuster on Theory, forcing Breakker to break the pin up. Breakker dumped Ford over the ropes with an exploder, but was disposed of by Dawkins. Theory was planted by Dawkins’ Silencer, while Logan Paul tossed some brass knuckles into the ring.
Ford took care of Breakker while the ref was distracted by Logan. Maxxine Dupri rolled in, low-blowing Dawkins, and giving The Vision the Men’s WWE World Tag Titles back.
The Vision defeated The Street Profits via pinfall with a low blow.
Grade: C. The match was fine. That’s about all that can be said. Maxxine turning, finally, was unexpected on this night considering how The Vision was treated last week.
After the match, Dupri jumped into Theory’s arms for a sloppy kiss. Eat your heart out, Dirty Dom and Liv Morgan.
Backstage, a doctor said he couldn’t clear Men’s WWE Champion Cody Rhodes after Gunther’s heinous assault. QB1 was okay to go, but WWE RAW GM Adam Pearce sided with the doctor.
Paul Heyman told The Vision that this was the first step of many, but congratulated Maxxine on being the one to get something done. Maxxine left with the group while Otis and Akira Tozawa ran to the parking deck, distraught by her actions.
The Judgment Day locker room was riding high after they dealt with IYO SKY and Danhausen last week. Tonight, Raquel Rodriguez picked up her first singles title on the WWE main roster.
Ethan Page and Rusev cut off Men’s WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta from cutting a promo, as they bragged about putting Rey Mysterio on the shelf. Penta was joined by Dragon Lee and Chad Gable, setting up a tag match between the four while Penta would watch on.
Penta demanded Gable and Lee go out there, get revenge for the WWE Hall of Famer, and possess cero miedo.
Ahead of the next match, Michael Cole revealed that WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was taken to a hospital and might not return tonight.
Women’s WWE Intercontinental Championship: Raquel Rodriguez vs Sol Ruca (c)
Rodriguez’s power advantage was obvious, nearly ragdolling the Intercontinental Champion around the ring. Raquel took Ruca down with a wringing arm drag, but Ruca rolled her over for a rolling sunset flip. Raquel kept her momentum going, avoiding a pin but eating a kick from the champion.
Ruca lost her footing going for a springboard maneuver, and Raquel took advantage, hammering her in the corner with repeated back elbows. The pair fought to the apron, where Raquel avoided several diving and springboard maneuvers. Ruca finally caught her with a moonsault off the apron, bringing Big Sexy back in the ring for a two-count.
Ruca escaped a chokeslam with a backflip, only for Raquel to take her head off with a short-arm lariat!! We cut to break with the challenger on top.
Back from commercial, Ruca caught Raquel with a springboard crossbody for a two-count. A missile dropkick off of Bret’s Rope (the second and most dangerous rope) set Raquel up for a nasty running knee from the champion. Raquel shook the cobwebs and avoided a big splash from Sol. A big slam planted Sol, but the champion countered the Tejana Bomb with a hurricanrana into the corner.
Roxanne Perez distracted the ref so Liv could tie up Ruca in the ropes. Raquel drove her head-first into the mat, and followed with a tilt-a-whirl side slam. It wasn’t enough! IYO SKY arrived on the scene, taking out Roxxy and Liv, and distracting Raquel. Sol took advantage, connecting with the Sol Snatcher!
Sol Ruca defeated Raquel Rodriguez via pinfall with the Sol Snatcher.
Grade: B-. This was good, even if it wasn’t exactly spotless. Raquel’s a great hoss. Hossette? She’s a great powerhouse to take on a high-flying and fast-crashing Intercontinental Champion.
Although The Vision had left the building, Paul Heyman was now in the ring to talk about Oba Femi. The Ruler came into WWE acting as if he owned the place, sauntering down the aisle like, and I’m quoting him directly, “King Schl*ng.” But Oba’s dominance inspired the Beast Incarnate, and now the Beast has truly broken out of Brock Lesnar.
Speaking of Oba, the man who already retired Lesnar was in the building! The Ruler strolled down to the ring to a massive and deafening “Oooooba” chant. Heyman reminded Oba of last week’s lesson: Talk s***, get hit. Heyman only talked facts and said Oba Femi proved to the entire world at WWE WrestleMania that Lesnar was beatable. At Clash in Italy, Lesnar proved Femi was beatable, too.
So at SummerSlam, the two mighty titans would meet inside Hell in a Cell. Cages were Lesnar’s specialty, considering his time in the UFC. It’s the “Brocktagon” at SummerSlam, and the future WWE Hall of Famer was a mountain Femi simply could not climb. Femi smiled at Heyman’s words because he knew all the words he’d said got under his skin. Lesnar claimed he didn’t watch the show, but considering he showed up, he definitely watched the show.
Heyman was writing checks Lesnar’s butt couldn’t cash. Heyman was less than an advocate; he was just a mouth. And Femi said neither Randy Couture nor The Undertaker were Oba Femi. To put it bluntly, Heyman and Lesnar were scared of Femi. He was the horseman of death for Lesnar’s career. Heyman was mortified.
Backstage, Jackie Redmond informed Men’s WWE Champion Sami Zayn that Cody Rhodes was unable to compete tonight. A “CM Punk” chant broke out as Zayn could barely hide his smile at the news. Zayn said this night felt cursed from the beginning, and didn’t know why he was defending the SmackDown prize on RAW.
At that moment, WWE RAW GM Adam Pearce pulled up, reminding him that Chicago deserved a title match. Sami would defend in the main event… but against whom?
Chad Gable & Dragon Lee vs Ethan Page & Rusev
Ethan Page and Rusev rushed their opponents, getting an early advantage over dragonLee. The former NXT North American Champion was picked apart by the Bulgarian Brute and All Ego, while the former El Grande Americano stood on the apron hoping for a tag.
When Lee finally broke free, Chad Gable wasted little time. Several German suplexes and release belly-to-belly suplexes sent Rusev and Page flying around the ring. Rusev was trapped in the ankle lock, but saved by Page. Gable launched Lee into Page’s face with a single-leg dropkick. Rusev pulled Page to the floor, but the pair were hit by a flying Dragon!
Rusev and Ego took over during the break, and we returned to Gable eating repeated short-arm clotheslines from the former US Champion. Gable fought out of their corner and spiked Rusev with a DDT. Lee and Page tagged at the same time, and Lee went to work. A series of kicks took out both opponents, and Page was spiked with a tornado DDT, missing the kickoff on the rope.
Page found himself in the Tree of Woe and couldn’t escape the double stomp, but Rusev managed to break up the pin. Gable saved Lee from a double suplex and planted Page with an Angle Slam. The Machka Kick knocked Gable to the floor.
Lee rocked Rusev and moved up top for a diving crossbody. RuRu caught him out of the air for a uranage, and took his head off with the Machka Kick! Accolade!!
Rusev & Ethan Page defeated Dragon Lee & Chad Gable via submission with the Accolade.
Grade: B+. Best match of the night up to this point. Say what you want about RAW, the men’s Intercontinental scene is fun.
Rusev and Page continued to beat down their opponents before they were saved by Joe Hendry. The former WWE NXT Men’s Champion sent Rusev to the floor and launched Page with the fallaway slam. Rusev broke up the Standing Ovation with a Machka Kick, allowing Page to plant him with the Egoplex. Another Accolade from Rusev.
Jimmy Uso was interviewed backstage, but things fell apart when LA Knight showed up. Before he could get some revenge, he was laid out by the man who beat him for the United States Title over a year ago, Jacob Fatu.
We got a promo package from multi-time WWE Champion Bayley, who was betrayed by Lyra Valkyria after the pair failed to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles last week. Lyra was her best friend this year.
She never questioned her trust in Lyra, and didn’t understand why they couldn’t talk things out. She gave Lyra one chance to clear the air and put their relationship back together… next week.
Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh and Dirty Dominik Mysterio sent a message to Danhausen. They vowed to make his life a living hell. McDonagh will face Danhausen at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18.
Men’s WWE Championship: CM Punk vs Sami Zayn (c)
The crowd knew it was CM Punk before they showed him backstage. The multi-time WWE Champion got a huge ovation from Chicago and handed a young front row fan his shirt before kicking this match off.
Punk pelted Zayn with chops to the chest and back. The WWE Champion forced his challenger to the corner, pelting Punk with rights. Punk, now with a lot more mass, easily lifted Zayn out of the corner and hit an inverted atomic drop. Zayn crotched Punk on the ropes, but the challenger pulled Zayn to the floor and hit a big suicide dive as we cut to break.
Zayn was on top when we returned to the action, but Punk fired up with a few clotheslines and his running heel kick. The running knee connected in the corner. Sami blocked the bulldog, only for Punk to bring him down with a swinging neckbreaker. The Second City Saint called for the GTS!! Zayn refused, instead getting his head taken off with a hammerlock lariat for another two-count.
The Macho Man Elbow Drop was cut off. A top rope superplex brought the challenger down as we hit our final commercial break of the night.
As we cut back to the main event, Zayn countered another bulldog, picking the challenger up for the Blue Thunder Bomb!! 1-2-no!! Punk kicked out. The Muay Thai combo rocked Zayn, and he finally hit the running knee/bulldog combination. Macho Man Elbow Drop!!
The Undisputed WWE Champion BARELY kicked out. Punk didn’t waste time, opting for the Anaconda Vice as the crowd jumped to their feet! Zayn fought and flailed for over a minute before tearing Punk away with a headscissor. Punk’s Sharpshooter was blocked, and Zayn countered a GTS with the same pin he used at Night of Champions!!
1-2-kickout!! Zayn connected with a GTS, but still couldn’t get the win. The Helluva Kick was blocked, and Punk took a page out of Sami’s book with an exploder into the corner. Zayn didn’t let him hit a Helluva Kick, though, and followed with another GTS and a Blue Thunder Bomb!
Somehow, some way, CM Punk kicked out of the WWE Champion’s incredible combination. Punk dodged another Helluva Kick (a little late) and hit Sami with one of his own! GTS!! 1-2-3!!
CM Punk defeated Sami Zayn via pinfall with the GTS to win the Men’s Undisputed WWE Championship.
Grade: A+. Two of the best wrestlers in the world. A main event WWE Championship bout in Chicago. This couldn’t be anything but awesome. As a Sami Zayn fan, it hurt to see him lose it here. Hopefully, this wasn’t his only time with the title.
CM Punk wasn’t even supposed to be here, and walked out of WWE Monday Night RAW with his eighth world title.
Overall Grade: B-. Another match would’ve really helped this two-and-a-half hour show go by faster. When it peaked, it was great, but there were times where you couldn’t help but look at the phone to see how much longer this was gonna go. Thankfully, an incredible main event put it over the edge.
